Harry Wright Swimmer Siobhan Haughey (17 yrs) makes the FINA A qualifying time for the Olympic Games and qualifies for semi-finals at the World Championships in Kazan.

Congratulations to Siobhan on her 200 m IM Hong Kong Record and qualifying for Semi-Finals on the first day of the FINA World Championships in Kazan.

She stormed to a Hong Kong Record and "A Qualifying Time" for next year's Olympic Games in Rio. Siobhan touched in 2:13.07 ranking 13th after heats. One hour later she was on the blocks again with the 4 x 100 m Freestyle relay. Siobhan swam the last leg on the relay in 54.83 seconds. The team placed 14th.

Siobhan ranked 14th in the afternoon's semi-finals in the 200 m IM once more in a strong 2:13.26.

This is a fantastic achievement considering that this are her first World Championships.

Club Wolverine's Geoffrey Cheah (before HWI ) had a go in the 50 m butterfly. Geo touched in a respectable time of 24.12 placing 27th in a field of 80 swimmers.

Watch out for our swimmers results over the next view days!
