 JANUARY 6TH, 2018. KOWLOON The HK Coaches Association Annual Awards Dinner was attended by Michael Fasching, David Pool, June Wright and Bev Wright. Congratulations go to Siobhan Haughey who was awarded Female Swimmer of the Year for 2017! The award was presented by ex-Olympic HK Swimmer Robyn Lamsam, and collected by Michael Fasching on behalf of Siobhan, who could not attend. The awards brought back some old memories and history as some of the presentations were made by ex Hong Kong coach David Haller, including the Harry Wright memorial award (which was introduced in honour of Capt Harry Wright after he passed away in 1999) David Haller had, several years before that, been awarded the Coach of the Year Award, as had Capt Harry Wright, who is seen here in an old photo receiving his award from Dennis Whitby in 1993. Capt Wright had previously won the award in 1988 and Michael Fasching in turn was awarded Coach of the year in 2006!  | |
