Well done Mantas SWIMMERS, AND PARENTS!!

A highly successful meet; over 670 swimmers competing. The Mantas team finished on top of the points with 583.5. 1st of the overseas teams was Shanghai Int Swim Club with 547 points, then Singapore American School Eagles, followed by PCA Stingrays from Philippines! A truly international result! Highlights from the meet included the Mantas girls medley relay team who won the event and set a new record! 20 new individual records were broken to show the caliber of swimmers this year was very high - the SISC girls also broke the freestyle relay record.

High point trophies won by Mantas swimmers; Junhao Qiu came 1st place inth 8/under boys ; Sophie Donohugh 2nd in 9-10 girls, with Lauren Floyd 3rd; Ella Fraser 2nd in 13-14 girls; Nathaniel Yeoh 3rd in 13-14 boys. Many other swimmers won medals, ribbons and achieved personal best times. All swimmers benefitted from the experience of competing against 30 teams from around Asia, in 8 or 9 events over 2 days.

Junhao Qiu and Sophie Donohugh won the memorial trophies for highest scoring Mantas boy and girl, with Ralph Lam chosen as recipient of the Harry Wright award of the year!! Well done to every swimmer who helped the Mantas team, and congratulations to all those on the committee who worked so hard. Many thankyous were made at the Awards dinner at the Cricket club especially to all our sponsors, and the members of Mantas committee - photos available soon!
