Update World Aquatics Champs – Korea

HWI SCA Swimmers at Short Course World Cup Incheon/Korea 24.-26.10.24
Once more fantastic results from our elite contingent on the World Cup Circuit.
The past days swimmers were competing in the Korean City of Incheon - the site of the 2014 Asian Games.
Siobhan Haughey triumphed with two Golds and one Silver, remaining undefeated in both the 200 m Freestyle and the 100 m dash. Only Mary-Sophie Harvey from Canada could set herself apart from Siobhan by not letting her pass in the 400 m Freestyle.
Times as follows:
200 m Freestyle 1:51.02 🏅
100 m Freestyle 51.73 🏅
400 m Freestyle 3:58.06 🥈
Ian Ho was on an upward trajectory compared to his speed at last week's Shanghai leg.
Our US-based 50 m Freestyle sprint sensation maneuvered himself into a 6th-place finish in a time of 21.25.
The next day he had an attempt at his own Hong Kong Record which he successfully lowered to 20.98 🇭🇰 during his 100 m Freestyle heat.
Ian also featured in the 50 m Butterfly taking 23rd rank in 23.60.
We are looking forward to Ian taking on a field of world-class sprinters in Budapest at the short-course World Championships later in the year.
Breaststroke ace Adam Chillingworth was on the hunt for a 200 m Breaststroke A qualification standard (2:06.23) for the World Championships in December.
Both his 100 m and 50 m Breaststroke (1:01.09 and 28.18) individual races were used as tune-up opportunities for his prime event the 200 m Breaststroke. He successfully progressed out of the morning heats posting a swift 2:06.32 final result to place 6th in the evening showdown.
A big well done goes out to Siobhan, Ian and Adam!
