RBSC Team Report:
Our team made a spectacular showing at the Bangkok RBSC meet on November 29th-30th, with a total of 31 swimmers (20 girls and 11 boys) competing in a highly competitive field.
Virat Sudharsan shined brightly, earning the title of overall Individual Champion in the 11-12 year old boys' category, while Cesar Nunes proudly claimed 2nd runner-up in the same division. Emily Dormond captured 2nd runner-up in the 11-12 year old girls, and Megan Wong secured 2nd runner-up for the 13-14 year old girls.
A BIG shout out goes to ALL the swimmers for delivering outstanding performances in their individual events and making a huge step up in the relays, setting numerous personal best times and reaching the top 8 in many events, earning valuable points for the team. We secured a total of 3 golds, 9 silvers, and 4 bronzes in individual events. The competition at RBSC is very dependent on relays in all age groups for team points, and as such the team can be very proud of the results.
More importantly every swimmer earned the title of taking part in an international age group competition, while having fun and enjoying the strong team bonding.
The competition culminated in the Sunday Awards presentation dinner – including the famous team stage ‘performances’ which are always great fun.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for their unwavering support of our athletes and the team. Special appreciation goes to Emily’s dad, Greg, whose incredible photography captured the excitement of the competition.
We are already looking forward to welcoming even more swimmers for our next journey to Bangkok in 2026!
