Stingrays Invitational Meet 2024 Report
The Last Splash Invitational Swim Meet was held in HKIS Tai Tam Pool on 24-26 May 2024.
HWI Swim Team (SCAA) sent 60 swimmers to participate in this well organized and friendly meet, mainly from our Development squads. It was a good chance for younger swimmers to have a go at multiple events, including some 200m events. A few other HWI swimmers were competing too, representing their school teams. There was an ‘international’ feel to the competition as several teams from overseas entered, from Beijing, Tokyo, and the Philippines.
Our team exceeded their performance expectations and brought home 2 Overall Team trophies, we came 2nd Overall Visiting Team and 2nd Overall Relay Team.
Swimmers won 22 medals, 1 Gold, 8 Silver, and 13 Bronze.
The meet was fun for all – it was great to see the team bonding going on over the 3 days, and good support from parents. Everyone appreciated the hard work and good humor of coaches Jericho and Zento!
