RBSC Invitational 2024 Report
RBSC (Royal Bangkok Sports Club) Thailand, Invitational Age Group Meet
SAT 30 NOVEMBER and SUN 1 DECEMBER
A team of 28 swimmers (6 boys and 22 girls) from HWI squads joined this competition under the team name of HWI – MANTAS. The Mantas team has taken part in this meet for many years so it has become a great tradition. Over the weekend, swimmers had a chance to compete in various individual events and relays. Teams travelled from Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Philippines, with 21 teams altogether taking part. All the swimmers performed very well!! It was also a great experience for all, with great support from parents, and team camaraderie. The Sunday Awards dinner on the Sunday after the meet is always a highlight of the meet – each team puts on a little ‘performance’ on the stage – to the enjoyment of all. Coach Jericho and Coach Zento did a fantastic job looking after the team at the pool, and were great sports, joining in the performance too! Many other swimmers were lucky enough to win first in heat ribbons (the meet was seeded by event and time, not age so many heats had mixed age swimmers together) SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS to MEGAN YAO who won the 1st place high point trophy in Girls 15 over age group.
