Open Water and Sprint Meet report - Jan 5th

SUNDAY 5^TH JANUARY – SPRINT MEET AND OPEN WATER RACE REPORT

The first competition of the year 2025, saw a Bronze place medal for Performance swimmer Harry Ko at the HKGSA Open Water competition at Tai Mei Tuk.  Harry swam in the 3.3 km race, under the 13 & over Men’s competition.  A great result for Harry in a very tough race!

In the evening was the first HWI Sprint Meet of 2025 at the SCAA pool.  A total of 77 swimmers took part in 4 x 50m races of each stroke.  It was a great chance for younger swimmers to practice their competition skills, and achieve some personal best times.  The meet ran smoothly with the help of coaches and parents (a big THANKYOU to the parent volunteers !)  Well done to all the swimmers!
