🎉 Siobhán Haughey Wins 200m Freestyle World Title! 🎉

SCA/HWI alumni Siobhán Haughey has once again proven herself as one of the world's elite swimmers, successfully defending her 200m freestyle world crown with an extraordinary performance in Budapest! Touching the wall in a blistering time of 1:50.62, Siobhán dominated the field, demonstrating her exceptional skill and determination.

The world-renowned Duna Arena, known for its sizzling fast pool, witnessed yet another incredible moment for Hong Kong swimming. On Saturday evening, our very own Ian Ho also delivered a phenomenal swim, setting a new Hong Kong record in the 50m freestyle semi-finals with a time of 20.85, narrowly missing a place in the final by just 0.05 seconds.

This week, some of our young Gold Squad swimmers are thrilled to have the chance to meet Siobhán in person and celebrate her latest World Championship success at the AIA Carnival in Central on Wednesday. It’s a perfect opportunity to catch up with her and, of course, see her shiny new gold medal up close! 🏅

Congratulations, Siobhán and Ian and Adam on your incredible achievements! You continue to inspire the next generation of swimmers at SCA/HWI and beyond. 💪🌟
