Honoring Excellence: Harry Wright 2025 Swimmer of the Year Awards Celebrate Competitive Achievement and Team Spirit

On Saturday, March 21st, 2026, Harry Wright Swim School held its inaugural annual awards presentation ceremony at the South China Athletic Association (SCAA) club. This special event celebrated the exceptional achievements and contributions of our swimmers throughout the 2025 competitive season and marked an important milestone in our school's 50th Anniversary year.
A New Tradition of Recognition
This inaugural awards scheme was established to recognize and celebrate swimming excellence while encouraging all swimmers to represent SCAA in local HKGSA (Hong Kong Swimming Association) competitions. The awards program provides meaningful recognition for swimmers who demonstrate exceptional competitive achievement and dedication to the sport.

Ten outstanding swimmers were recognized as "Swimmer of the Year" in their respective age groups, having accumulated the most competition points throughout the season. These awards represent the highest level of competitive achievement and recognize swimmers who have demonstrated exceptional performance across multiple competitions.

Merit Certificates: Celebrating Team Participation
Beyond the individual "Swimmer of the Year" awards, over 160 swimmers were honored with Merit Certificates for their participation and representation of the SCAA team in HKGSA competitions throughout the year. These certificates recognize the commitment and dedication of all swimmers who contributed to the team's competitive efforts.
Special Recognition and Milestone
The awards ceremony was particularly special with the presence of Mrs. June Wright, co-founder of Harry Wright International. Mrs. Wright participated in presenting the trophies to the winners, adding significance to this inaugural awards event.
Head Coaches Michael Fasching and Chui Wai Chun also participated in the presentation, recognizing the important role of our coaching staff in preparing swimmers for competitive success.
50th Anniversary Significance
This new annual awards scheme was established during Harry Wright International's 50th Anniversary year, marking an important moment in our school's history. Practical Information for Families
For swimmers who were unable to attend the ceremony, their Merit Certificates are being held in the SCAA office. Families can collect certificates at any time from the Harry Wright administration staff at the SCAA office.
