Harry Wright Performance Swimmers Excel at 2026 Festival of Sports Time Trial Championship

The Harry Wright Performance Squad sent a select group of elite swimmers to compete at the 2026 Festival of Sports Time Trial, held on April 11-12 at the Hong Kong Sports Institute. This was the first long course meet of the new HKGSA season and featured an open-level format with high qualifying times, attracting the best swimmers from across Hong Kong.

Elite Open-Level Competition

The Festival of Sports is an open event, not restricted to age groups, which means it attracts the highest-level swimmers competing at elite standards. The high qualifying times required for entry ensure that all competitors are performing at the top levels of the sport. This prestigious championship provides an excellent platform for our elite swimmers to test themselves against the best competition available.

Standout Individual Performances

Wong Yik Yan Sean delivered an exceptional performance in the Individual Medley events, claiming a silver medal in the 200m IM with a time of 2:09.65 and achieving 8th place in the 400m IM (4:49.19). His versatility across the demanding Individual Medley events demonstrates his comprehensive swimming skills and technical proficiency.

Sin Chin Ting Keith showed exceptional strength in the distance freestyle events, earning a bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle with a time of 16:23.40 and achieving 4th place in the 800m freestyle (8:36.75). His performances in these demanding long-distance events showcase his exceptional endurance and competitive excellence.

Luk Arnold Bingtse achieved 7th place in the 50m breaststroke final with a time of 29.78, demonstrating competitive performance in this sprint event.

Wu Melody earned 7th place in the 50m breaststroke final with a time of 34.55, showing strong performance in the breaststroke discipline.

Comprehensive Team Participation

Harry Wright sent a select group of elite Performance Squad swimmers to compete at this prestigious championship. Our swimmers competed across a range of events including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley, demonstrating the versatility and breadth of our competitive program.

Notable Performances

Chan Yat Fung Evan achieved a personal best 50m split time of 24.03 in the 100m freestyle, demonstrating his continued improvement and technical development.

Whittington Ryan delivered solid performances with 11th place in the 200m backstroke (2:16.88) and 13th place in the 100m backstroke (1:02.89), showing consistent performance across the backstroke events.

Wong Yik Man Mike competed in the distance freestyle events with 14th place in the 1500m freestyle (17:16.16) and 16th place in the 800m freestyle (9:02.12).

Coaching Excellence

First Long Course Meet of the Season
