Former Harry Wright Swimmer Emeric Payer to Swim Around Hong Kong Island
Former Harry Wright International (HWI) team swimmer Emeric Payer is taking on a 45km unassisted swim around Hong Kong Island to support global marine research and the recovery of Hong Kong's coastal waters.
The Swim
Emeric will set off at 3am on a Monday morning (Sunday night) from the Victoria Road swim shed. He says Hong Kong's coastal waters have shaped who he is, and he hopes the swim will raise funds and awareness for marine ecosystems.
Who the Swim Supports
Funds raised will support the work of the Ocean Recovery Alliance and Fondation Tara Océan. Emeric and his brother Fabien were both members of the HWI team and Mantas. Ava Jim and Jean Noel are flying in to support him on the day.
