Congratulations to Isobel Tran: Selected to Represent Hong Kong at Malaysian Age Group Championships

January 16, 2026

We are delighted to announce that Isobel Tran Anh Gia, a 12-year-old member of the Harry Wright Performance Squad, has been selected to represent the Hong Kong Age Group Team at the prestigious MILO/MAS Malaysia Invitational Age Group Championships, taking place February 5-8, 2026 in Malaysia.

This selection marks a significant achievement for Isobel and represents the culmination of years of dedicated training and development within the Harry Wright program.

A Journey of Continuous Development

Isobel's swimming journey with Harry Wright began at age 5 when she joined our Learn-to-Swim (LTS) program, progressing through the B1 and Improver levels. Her natural talent and dedication were evident from the beginning, and at age 7, she was promoted to our Swim Team Training program.

Since joining the competitive team, Isobel has demonstrated consistent improvement and exceptional commitment. She has progressed through our Development Squad and is now a valued member of our Performance Squad, where she continues to refine her skills and push her competitive boundaries.

Recent Championship Success

Isobel's selection to represent Hong Kong is well-deserved, as evidenced by her outstanding performances at the November 2025 Long Course Age Group Championship, where she captured three medals:

•🥈 Silver Medal - 100m Backstroke

•🥉 Bronze Medal - 50m Freestyle

•🥉 Bronze Medal - 100m Freestyle

These medal-winning performances demonstrate Isobel's versatility across multiple events and her ability to compete at the highest levels of age group swimming.

International Representation

Representing Hong Kong in an overseas competition is a tremendous honor and a testament to Isobel's talent and hard work. The Malaysia Invitational Age Group Championships is a prestigious regional competition that attracts top swimmers from across Asia, providing an excellent platform for young athletes to gain international racing experience and compete against elite age group swimmers.

Coaching Excellence

Isobel's success is a reflection of the expert coaching and support she has received throughout her swimming journey. The Harry Wright coaching team has been instrumental in developing her technical skills, building her competitive confidence, and preparing her for this exciting opportunity.

Additional Recognition

We also congratulate Adam Chillingworth, another Harry Wright-SCAA international swimmer, who has also been selected for the Hong Kong team. Adam's continued selection demonstrates the caliber of elite swimmers in our program.

Looking Forward

We wish both Isobel and Adam tremendous success at the Malaysia Invitational Age Group Championships. We are confident that they will represent Hong Kong and Harry Wright with distinction and bring great credit to both.

Isobel's journey from a 5-year-old beginner to an international representative is an inspiring example of what dedication, hard work, and excellent coaching can achieve. We look forward to following her continued progress and success in the sport.
