Festival of Sport -Day 1 - News
While many of Harry Wright's youngsters were battling it out at the Division 2 Meet at Kwun Tong pool, twelve of our Performance Squad Swimmers competed at the Festival of Sport at the beautiful Hong Kong Sports Institute Pool.
One of our charges made it into the Medals at the Olympic Qualification Meet. Ma Zai Xiang pictured here fought hard and smart and improved his personal best time by 4 seconds in the 400 m IM to win bronze in 4:52.21.
We had 6 more swimmers competing in the afternoon finals:
Temana Short swam a p.b. in the 100 m freestyle in 54.51 touching in 7. place. He also featured in the 400 m freestyle with a time of 4:18.06 placing 5.
Stefan Hess who swam the 100 m freestyle the first time under 55 sec. in the long course pool (54.61) in the morning heats returned in the afternoon with a credible 55.11.
Nicole Evans came 7. in the 200 m freestyle final in 2:14.66.
Malin Leven, Kylie Woo and Aneekah Styles all racing their 200 m backstroke as straight final in the afternoon.
Well done to all our twelve athletes that did compete today.
We are looking forward to an exciting Sunday of long course action in Fo Tan.

Geoffrey Cheah wins Best Male Performance award with a sizzling fast 50 m freestyle time of 22.47.
Xiang Ma, Temana Short, Nicole Evans and Kylie Woo all final.
Big congratulations goes out to Geoffrey and all our finalists!nd improved his personal best time by 4 seconds in the 400 m IM to win bronze in 4:52.21.
