Well done to all the Mantas swimmers, parent supporters, Coaches Mike and Kevin! A team of 43 Mantas swimmers attended the 19th RSBC Invitation Swim Meet over the weekend of November 25-26th. The swimmers had a successful weekend with a lot of fun, making new friends from other teams and countries. This was the first international swim meet for some of our young swimmers and it proved to be a great experience for all and very rewarding. Mantas youngest swimmer was 7 and the eldest 15. High point trophies won by Mantas swimmers; Georgina Tso came in 3rd place for the 8/under girls with Emeric Payer achieving 3rd place for the 11-12 boys. Many other swimmers won medals, ribbons and achieved personal best times, with all benefiting from the experience of competing against different swimmers from clubs around Asia. Unfortunately we have had no results file from RBSC yet – we will put up the results as soon as we have them. There were no final team scores by the end of the meet, so this news also will be updated later. Many thanks must go to the committee member parents who contributed their time and effort in the run up to this meet as well as over the weekend. Ingrid Leven, Ava Jim, Catherine Choy, and John Pimlott – thank you very much!!. Antonia – also many thanks for arranging the tattoos which were hugely popular with both kids and supporters. And a big THANKYOU to Ker Wai and Amy Gan who once again took brilliant photos, and made a great video as well which was shown on at the Sunday awards dinner.
